Biography
Dr. Eric Buckland is originally from Ottawa, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1999. He was then admitted to The OSU College of Optometry and was trained in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, regular and specialty contact lens fitting, binocular vision and pediatrics, low vision needs, and primary vision care. He did externship rotations at the Chillicothe VA Hospital, Retina Vitreous Associates, and ReVision Advanced Laser Eye Center among others. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2003.

Dr. Buckland started practice in 2003 in Hillsboro, Ohio at an independent office in the local Wal-Mart. He now practices full-scope optometry in a similar setting in Grove City, Ohio treating a wide range of eye conditions such as foreign body removal, conjunctivitis, and dry eye syndrome. He enjoys fitting various types of contact lenses including bifocal contacts and contact lenses for astigmatism.

Dr. Buckland is a long-standing member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Ohio Optometric Association (OOA). Each year he attends the national AOA meeting to keep current on eye care practice in America. He also attends various local continuing eduction lectures. He participates in a program each year with Wal-Mart called Project InSight which gives free eye exams and glasses to children who otherwise could not afford eye care.

Dr. Buckland enjoys many outdoor activities including camping, tennis, and golf. He loves spending time with his wife, parents, sister and two brothers, and all of his extended family throughout Ohio and other parts of the country. He is married to Michelle Buckland, also from Ottawa, Ohio, and they have lived here in Grove City since 2003.
